Tamim Iqbal announces not to play T20 World Cup

hey, guys, it's Md Arifur Rahman, and welcome to back my blog. we finally have a follow-up to Tamim Iqbal announces not to play T20 World Cup. therefore the blog that we, ve for today is that the review.

Tamim Ikbal
is a well-known name in the world of cricket. Tamim is one of the best batsmen in Bangladesh cricket. The cricketer returned from Zimbabwe without playing a T20 match due to injury. The cricketer was not included in the squad for the series against Australia and New Zealand. This time it seems that this cricketer will not be seen in T20 World Cup. On September 1, he announced in a video message from his own verified Facebook ID that he would not be playing in the upcoming T20 World Cup.

Tamim also told the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) president Nazmul Hasan Papon and board chief selector Minhazul Islam Abedin Nannu about his decision. In that video, Tamim says, Hope everybody is well. There was a small announcement. I phoned our board president Papun Bhai and chief selector Nannu Bhai. I shared some things over the phone. Which I want to share with everyone. I told them I don't think I should be in the World Cup squad.

He explained the reason for this decision. Not to be outdone, he has decided not to play the last few matches of this format to give the newcomers a chance. He thinks that if he plays in the World Cup, it will be unfair to those who have played against him instead of not being in his team.

Tamim said Since I have not played in the last 15-16 T20 matches and those who have played in my place, I do not think it will be fair to them if I suddenly come and take the place. Maybe I was on the World Cup squad. I don't know but I think I was on the team. I don't think it would be fair.

The youngsters who have opened need to be given a chance in the national team. They played for 15-16 matches. I would be better prepared for them. And I also think they will serve the team better than me

Tamim last played an international T20 match in March 2020. However, he played in the ODI format against New Zealand and Zimbabwe.

Then did Tamim indicate retirement?

He has made it clear that he will not retire even if he does not play in the T20 World Cup. He said he is willing to play any T20 in the country or abroad. He told his supporters that he would be seen on the cricket field very soon. The media has appealed to the staff not to message him on WhatsApp or phone. His decision should be respected with the opportunity to protect his privacy. It is to be noted that as Tamim Iqbal is out of the team, Soumya Sarkar and Naeem Sheikh K have opened more matches for Bangladesh. Liton Das and Mehdi Hasan may also replace Tamim. Although Bangladesh has not yet announced the squad for the T20 World Cup, it has been decided who will be in the squad. A series win against Australia will give Bangladesh a lot more confidence.

Tamim Iqbal is the best run-scorer of Bangladesh cricket in all formats.

Tamim Iqbal has 8 ODI runs, 46 Test runs and 1757 International T20 runs.
